Mission Briefing

Thanks to your help, we've built a number of the advanced EMP smart bombs. We've scheduled testing in [system], but it looks as if Amarrian intel has realized that something is up: Amarr is dispatching recon ships to all our surrounding systems.

[you], we can't let them observe this weapons test! We need to hit any Amarrian recon ships in the system and destroy them before they can get word back to the enemy. And I have a plan.

We've tracked down a small gang of Amarrian ships nearby. Go in there and attack them so they call for backup, luring their recon ships in to assist; then you can pick them off once they arrive.

Missions and Standing
Quitting a mission invariably results in a loss of faction standing; it is almost always in a character's best interest to complete all missions he or she accepts.

However, a character may freely decline a mission when it is first offered, as long as it isn't one of those rare "storyline" missions; after that, declining another mission within four hours of the first does result in a loss of standing. Still, in general, a capsuleer's career is usually long and eventful enough that a few such minor hits to standing may not be too large a price.
