Enemy Territory

Project: Bug Fix

The objective

The goal of this project is to provide modders in the ET community with a SDK code base that contains fixes for various bugs which are present in the stock etmain game (version 2.60).

26th september 2006: Sadly bugfix 088 had a bug :-( There were 3 lines that should have been deleted for the fix to work correctly.

Show index
Previous bug: Player always mouting the last gun used, on multiple tank maps
Next bug: Player view is distorted in intermission if you have ridden an vehicle, mounted a tank

Bugfix 088 - Players field of view at intermission is different if you had deployed a MG42

Problem:

The client code fixes the FOV to 90 if intermission before it fixes the FOV to 55 if you are using the MG42, tank or other heavy weapons.

Solution:

Move the intermission fixation below the heavy weapon fixation.

Note:

Please note that until the 26th september 2006, this bugfix did not say you should delete the 3 lines of code. That change was lost when I did the pretty HTML edition. Thank you Discovery for letting me know.

2.60 Code

cg_view.c @ 892 cg.zoomval = 0; }
// CHRUKER: b088 - Players field of view at intermission is different if you had deployed a MG42 (fixation moved further down)
if ( cg.predictedPlayerState.pm_type != PM_INTERMISSION ) {
// if in intermission, use a fixed value fov_x = 90; } else {
fov_x = cg_fov.value; if( !developer.integer ) { if ( fov_x < 90 ) {
cg_view.c @ 951 fov_x = 75; }
// CHRUKER: b088 - Players field of view at intermission is different if you had deployed a MG42 if ( cg.predictedPlayerState.pm_type == PM_INTERMISSION ) { // if in intermission, use a fixed value fov_x = 90; } // b088
if( cg.showGameView ) { fov_x = fov_y = 60.f; }
